Today in Technique Corner....

Let's highlight techniques...
for all the times you want to just try something new, to
stepout of the box, to experience...or just to look at new things....

I had alot of fun with my technique as I created this canvas
book that was inspired by Donna Downey (who happens to be
our guest this month!). I used alot of die cuts as masks
and went to town with glimmer mist & paint.

I decided that precision was not in the plans as I just went to
town with the placement of the die cuts as I sprayed the mist
and applied the paint.
(Of course I'm hardly precise when creating...)
I did decide to step out of my box and spray each page differently.
Either the entire page or just portions of the page.
Like here...I sprayed the entire page, then applied paint on top
(and used that as my journaling "block")

Here's a little close up:

and like Donna's layout...I ADORE how she folded the corners
of her flower to make the petals stand up...incredible!

Holly truly inspired me with her technique of laying the die
cut paper down on a page in her canvas book & going to town
with her mist...this is incredible and makes a GREAT background
on anything...paper, canvas...etc.!

Anabelle's technique of using the MM packaging here is great!
I also LOVE how she glued and glittered her letters. What a
beautiful finish to this amazing layout!

GREAT idea Christina had using her glue lid as her stamp!
I love that perfect circle of paint. Makes for a fabulous
dimensional effect!

Charity rubbed the BG rub on her bird...genius!
Really glams up that already glam bird and makes the entire
page POP with just a little bit of "wow".

Danielle came up with the cutest idea of stitching
the street signs...I LOVE that!! SO cute and such a GREAT idea.

Julie is the technique QUEEN! I adore how she paints her titles.
I mean...that's just amazing! Love how she cut the star and sprayed
the different inks and used water to make it blend so perfectly.

and then Kimberly's use of the flag...with paper! I LOVE that!
That technique she used made a cute cute border all the way down
her page. Clever, cute and so easy to do!

That's the conclusion of our Technique Corner...
show us what YOU did with your techniques, using your kit!
We'd LOVE to see it!!

Have a happy week all... it's CHA week...
our very own Tulip Girls: Anabelle, Charity, Julie are going to the show
and will be back soon to show us HIGHLIGHTS and GOODIES
from this year's show! Can't wait! Stay tuned!!
