Birthday Countdown (5 more days!), Sneak #6, Like My Buttons? & Have I got a Question for you!....

It's getting closer!! Just 5 more days remaining until the big Birthday
Celebration! How exciting!! :D I can't WAIT!

Today I'm going to start my blog post with a few answers to some pretty
popular questions around here...(hee hee) in case you've been wondering:

1. If I could be in any infomercial, I would pick (product name), because:
Oh you know...I'll have to say I would love to get snug in one of those "snuggies! Especially if I got to
take one home with me. No laughing, you know you' d love to try one too! Admit it! LOL!

2. If I could be any character from a movie, I would be ______ from ______, because:
Meg Ryan's character - "Kathleen Kelly" from "You've Got Mail" because she's so stinkin' cute,
she owns a teeny little bookstore (well for a little bit anyway), she plays on her computer & she gets
the guy in the end...how cute is that movie! one of my faves...

3. If my life story was to be written as a novel, the title would be:
" Really? I mean I guess...."

4. I always wanted to be a:
this may sound cheesy...but I am what I always wanted to be...a Mom!

5. If I can only give my children one piece of advice, it would be:
Always remember this....
My favorite Bible verse...it's all important and so true:
1Cor 13:13 : And now these 3 remain: faith, hope
and love. But the greatest of these is love.

6. Three things I want very badly at the moment are:
a) a new lens for my camera
b) a trip to Italy
c) Verizon to come out with the same exact iPhone. Oh I'd be happy.

7. What is your process for creating layouts as you receive Labe Tulip kit? Do you start with photos, paper, a sketch, or something else?
I have my photo's out. I then stack the papers I want to use with each photo(s), then I go to town, no rules, just get to scrapping.

8. I had the BEST time creating this layout using Label Tulip kit:

9. Show us your sneaks for Label Tulip's July kit!

Ever wondered what to do with your buttons?
I know I have!
Recently I decided to get smaller jars and
separate them by colors & came up with this:

little closer:
works for me and I LOVE being able to reach up
and grab the entire jar of whatever color I need.

So now let me ask you something...
what is your BEST birthday celebration?
leave your answer in the comments &
we'll choose a winner for the following prize:
Good Luck!!

****winner to be picked by the Tulip Girl who posts on the 12th..
so stay tuned!!!

I can tell you what my best birthday celebration would be if I could choose: a trip to some quaint little town to stay in a bed and breakfast inn and ship in sweet little gift and craft shops. Sounds like fun, eh?

The best I had, was when I turned 25, my mom invited all my friends for a surprise party! We were about 20 and it was the best party ever! Especially that a few weeks later I moved away from home!

anything that was a total surprise...i'm so sneaky and tend to find things out before hand, so if i can make it to my birthday without knowing what's going on, then that is the best!! and how exciting...my birthday is the same as label tulips :) so, my sneaky radar has definitely been up this last week :)

I am about to have my best birthday celebration here in a few weeks - my DH is taking me to Vegas for the first time for my birthday on the 30th!

My best birthday was my 15th. My mom took me to San Francisco and, being from a small town, the two of us had so much fun exploring that amazing city. We had this tiny little rental car, and every time we went up one of those great big hills, we chanted "I think I can, I think I can..." until we finally made it to the top and burst out in laughter. I will never forget that trip.

My best birthday was in August last year. It was a surprise baby shower/birthday party. I had no idea my family would arrange one and was totally overwhelmed. It was so nice to celebrate both me and my exhausting pregnancy (by then I had had enough of it but now I got presents and good food just for being pregnant!). Í'm turning 32 in a month and I suppose I won't get a surprise party. So it would be awesome to win the papers... LOL.

my 40th is coming up soon - I'd love to celebrate with family, good food (that I don't have to cook!!) and just hanging out.

I would have to say when my fiance booked us a cruise for 7 days to the caribbean and while on the cruise I got to celebrate my birthday. Other then that being able to spend my birthday with my fiance and celebrate.

One year, I was invited out to dinner by one of my student's moms, and when I arrived at the restaurant, my whole class was there!! It was the first, and only, surprise bday I've ever had!

my best birthday would be a celebration with my husband, with a meal home cooked by him and followed by an afternoon walk around the town.

My best birthday was when I was a kid, playing with my friends, and eating cake, and opening presents....the excitement of a kid :)

One of my best birthdays was last year (literally, last July!), exactly one week after our sweet little guy was born. What a great birthday present!

My friends sent me a ransom note about a week before my birthday filled with clues and instructions and then my husband blindfolded me on my birhtday and I was taken hostage! They drove me around for an hour without speaking a word to me! Everywhere we went people would be singing and shouting out Happy Birthday! It was so funny and fun! Then we spent the day sailing. Doesn't get much better!

Best Bday celebration? It's to come on 9/30! See, my oldest daughter was dx with cancer 10 days before her 4th birthday (2007) so she missed out on her 4th AND 5th birthdays (no party either year) so this year will be a TRUE celebration of LIFE! :)

My best birthday celebration was for my son's 9th Birthday. I put it on, and it ran like clockwork. It was a pokemon party. The 9 children arrived, and they played games in the backyard, where I had lots of prizes, and a pinata. The superstretch limo picked us up, and drove us to the city next door, for a Pokemon Movie. As we drove over there (a 30 min drive), they had juice in flutes (plastic), while my son opened his presents. Then AFTER the show, we brought the kids to a local park in the limo, where they played more games, gave out more prizes, and had pizza and cake. I had made a Pokemon cake (Pikachu). Then each child had the limo drive them home, where each child was given a helium balloon, and a goodie bag.for a picture in front of the limo with the driver. It was an incredible day. When all kids were dropped off, my family drove around with the limo driver for about 45 minutes, just for peace and quiet, and to enjoy the limo. Just too much fun.

I've always dreaded my birthday. For some reason I have high expectations and then it just ends up like any other day. I think birthdays are the most special day since it's all about you for 1 whole day and no one else.
Last year I didn't even think about my birthday and went to visit my mom. When I arrived she had made me a beautiful lunch finished with my favorite desert angelfood cake with fresh berries. She had fresh flowers on the table. It was perfect. She made me feel so special.

well, I can tell you it wasn't this year. Dealing with fevers and puke--no birthday cake and had to take myself out to get something to eat.....I know SAD! I would have to say it was the time when I was about 10 and my mom made small cakes and a bunch of icing and my friends and I just decorated to our heart content, then cleaned off our cakes and started over. Yeah, we were sick to our tummies BUT we had fun! :)

I got to spend a birthday in Italy. That was BY FAR the best :)

I've discovered my best birthday celebration a couple of years ago with my new (and still!) bf. I never ate mushrooms before and he had cooked me dinner in the beginning of our dating and I just LOVED them! Then he found a mushroom dinner at the beach right around my birthday. So, now it's a 'birthday' celebration every year to spend the weekend at the beach and have a wonderful 5 course mushroom dinner at one of our favorite restaurants!

Hands down, my BEST birthday EVER was last year for my 40th. My sister organized a surprise shopping afternoon + lunch with my girlfriends, some of whom had come in from out of town for it. Then that night when I thought I was having dinner with my husband & 2 other couples, I walked into a room at the restaurant & 50 people yelled SURPRISE! The party continued on... food, wine, a band, beautiful weather out on their deck. I laughed, danced, & had SO MUCH FUN! My husband booked a hotel room for us close to the restaurant & we picked our daughter up from my parent's house the next morning. I'll never forget the celebration as long as I live... :-)

For my birthday every year my boys do the same thing and I love it! We go to Hershey Park and go through Chocolate world then shop a little. We then hit 2 of my favorite LSS and finish off with burgers at Red Robin...not a fancy day but perfect for me.

I think turning 30 was a good one for me. I was super depressed the few weeks leading up to it and then it turned out to be great. Hubby surprised me with a new purse and my rebel and we had dinner with some of my closest friends at a fave rest.
It was a fun night and I will always remember it

The best bday was in my uni time.. when all my friends prepare a surprise party for me! In the middle of the night (12 am exactly) they celebrated for me with a cake and "shower" me with a "potion" of all kinds of things inside, dunno wat they put inside, but i'm sure soya sauce was one of them.. the smell was awful! and somemore they "crack" egg to my head.. so YUCKS, but it was very memorable.. lol..

Best b-day was the 30th. My entire family (mother, brothers, grandmother, aunts and cousins) all showed up for a surprise party at the bowling alley.

M 40th! My boyfriend planned a camping trip for his sister and I who was also turning 40. The kids, his mom, sister, me and my boyfriend all went camping up in the Wichita Mountains for the weekend and it was beautiful. The first night was just he and I and he took me to dinner at my favorite resturant up in Medicine Park and then we sat out and watched the sunset over the mountains. The next day was spent playing with the kids and just being lazy and having a wonderful day with family. Before we left his mom and kids had gotten cupcakes and suprised us... It was perfect.

My family has always been kind of lax with birthdays, but it is the exact opposite with my hubby's fam. The year of our wedding, my husband and soon to be mother-in-law decorated my house for me with balloons and streamers! It was pretty cool :)

Last year when I turned 50, I told my 10 yr. old granddaughter I wanted a surprise party and a cherry pie. Though my sister inadvertently (she nor anyone else knows that I knew) let the cat out of the bag, it was my best birthday to date. My niece made the pie, all my family was there and I got some great photos, too!

The best birthday celebration (I hope!) is the 30th birthday party I am having for my husband next weekend. He used to teach German, has traveled to Germany, so "Miketoberfest" only makes sense. Which reminds me that I need to find a bunch of kazoos so we can do the Chicken Dance... :)

I guess it would have to be when I was a child..no birthdays really stand out..but it would be really cool If I could go to the beach with my family and celebrate one year..my birthday falls on and around mothers day..so I usually have to share..this year it we had let it go...no money but thats okay I am still here and and healthly , so God gave me a present.

Normally my birthdays are not that big of deals but next year is my 40th and since I've always wanted to go to Ireland, I am hoping I can make the ScrapMap trip to Ireland with Donna Downey in April 2010 .. that would be AMAZING and truly a birthday I'd remember always ..
